HDI Assicurazioni achieves the ‘Gender Equality Certification’ on Women's Day
Rome, March 8, 2024 - HDI Assicurazioni takes another step forward in its journey towards gender equality. The Company has long been committed to developing programs and actions dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion across its various initiatives, through dedicated policies and initiatives. Today, this journey - also initiated thanks to the awareness raised by ANIA and ANIA SAFE and with the support of Labchain-Università degli Studi Roma Tre, to which HDI promptly responded in the insurance sector - reaches its first milestone with the “Gender Equality Certification”. This confirms the commitment invested in building inclusive corporate processes and a work environment inspired by equality.
The Gender Equality Certification (UNI/PdR 125:2022), issued to HDI by Bureau Veritas, already a global leader in inspection services, conformity assessments, and certification, is a recognition that rewards commitment in six strategic areas: culture & strategy, governance, HR processes, opportunities for growth & women's inclusion in the company, gender pay equity, parental protection, and work-life balance.
Therefore, being inclusive at HDI Assicurazioni means creating conditions where all individual characteristics contribute to enriching the work environment, acknowledging the abilities and talents of each of its employees. With a particular focus on the theme of female empowerment, which the Company has demonstrated by supporting women who, especially in sports, have proven their worth on the field with merit and recognition. Such as in the case of Brand Ambassador Federica Pellegrini, or the more recent support for the Italian Women's Football Champions of AS Roma.
«In HDI, we believe that every person is unique, with their own personality, abilities, and history. For this reason, we have long demonstrated our ability to proactively promote the principle of equal opportunities, by fostering activities aimed at breaking down barriers related to gender-related reasons» , said Roberto Mosca, CEO of HDI Assicurazioni.
So Maria Sciarra, HR Director of HDI Assicurazioni, states, «We are pleased to share the news today that our company has achieved the ‘Gender Equality Certification’. It is a result we are proud of, but it also marks a new starting point, an incentive to continue working constantly on the issue. We thank ANIA, along with ANIA SAFE and the RomaTre University, for their valuable collaboration».
